The firm was founded in 1956 in Norway, as a family company. Historically, it was connected with the maritime industry but following the growth of the importance of processing in Norway, the business focus has changed over time. Currently, the majority of the companies in the HMR Group are co-partners and suppliers to the aluminum industry, effectively covering its needs for extension, maintenance and renewal.
