| The vehicle is a component of the HMR Hydeq fully integrated tapping system to tap, weigh, transport and discharge the liquid metal in the process of aluminium production. The system includes syphon cleaning equipments and crucible cleaning system. All the operations inherent to tapping are performed by the self-sufficient HMR Hydeq Tapping Truck. Inside a comfortable, air conditioned cabin, the driver controls all the operations without the necessity to get out of the vehicle. The tapped metal remains always inside a closed ladle, from tapping on the cell up to the delivery in the cast house, keeping the contact with the air and hence oxidation as low as possible. The vehicle is capable to pick up a full crucible from the floor without additional equipments and to take it to the cleaning station where it’s cleaned without the help of additional operators
Main Advantages
Use of only one machine instead of overhead cranes, transport vehicles, cast house tilting systems and possibly an additional weighing systems
Minimum metal temperature loss, saving energy in the cast house
Minimum metal spill and oxidation and hence reduction of metal loss
Minimum cost per ton of tapped metal compared to the use of a Pot Tending Machine for the same operations
Minimum tapped and delivered dross to the cast house
Great safety on all the operations
Capacity from 4000 to 10500 kg with liquid metal and dross
Features
Onboard weighing system
Automatic stop of tapping at setting weight. Safety stop to prevent overfilling
Onboard Compressor for tapping and discharging of molten aluminium
Hydraulic suspensions on all wheels
