| The HMR Hydeq hot crucible cleaning station it’s a fully automatic machine designed to clean the crucibles used in the process of primary aluminium production.

The machine is capable of picking up the crucible, placing onto a platform by the HMR Hydeq tapping truck and then to position the crucible in order to discharge the remaining liquid metal and dross into different skips. The automatic working cycle is then activated. A big mill actuated by powerful hydraulic motor remove the solid bath. To grant a perfect cleaning the crucible shall be at 400°C. Cold crucibles can anyway also be cleaned. Once the cycle has been completed the machine brings the crucible back on the initial position. The HMR Hydeq tapping truck picks up the clean crucible ready for new operations.
