HMR Hydeq enters into an agreement for the supply of all-electric Low Discharge Feeders

HMR Hydeq has entered into a significant agreement with Hydro Husnes for the delivery of 3 fully electric special vehicles, Low Discharge Feeders.

These vehicles will be equipped with cutting-edge technology, designed to minimize environmental impact and reduce maintenance costs. They are built to withstand ambient temperatures of up to 60 degrees Celsius and function in electrolysis halls surrounded by strong magnetic fields. By choosing fully electric alternatives, both HMR Hydeq and Hydro Husnes actively take responsibility for reducing the carbon footprint and preserving the planet for future generations.

This collaboration will not only improve air quality and reduce noise pollution, but also support Hydro’s climate goals. HMR Hydeq is proud to be part of the green initiative, offering sustainable solutions that provide value to our customers while safeguarding the environment. With these fully electric vehicles, we take a significant step toward a future where even the yellow vehicles within the primary aluminium plant are emission-free.

Looking ahead to tomorrow’s technology, in addition to the e-LDF vehicles, HMR has also a prototype of an e-transporter for full-scale testing in Årdal.
